Wow, I was Lucky!

Do you ever spend a bit of time thinking "Wow! I was lucky, and then, I was Lucky again, then I was lucky again?

I’m talking about your life.

You drop down the tube, at age zero, and are born.

So much depends on who you were born to, and where you were born.

For the next stage, you need to be nurtured , for say 15 years.

Were you lucky, in the way that was done, or did you get unlucky?

Great school, great family support?

Then you meet up with someone.

Lucky or Unlucky?

Point about this post, well two points, is Do you appreciate the luck that resulted in your enjoyment of life?, or did all of those breaks turn out to be bad?

Also, do you ever do anything to help the unlucky?

I was dealt the hand I was dealt,Ted, learnt from it and am thankful for it.

Life is such a precious gift…and I try to enjoy every moment of it…I have no complaints.

Dont think luck is included though some do have a good start in life with support and perhaps financial help to get them set on a good educational/ job career background . If this is their good start it can continue if sensible and from it they could have a good future .

Others if they have lack of support or family care help guidance and advice bad education and struggle earning money before leaving school and end up working for minimum wage then life continues to be a struggle and can be hard to make decent life because without support life is very tough.

I dont know if its luck or not

I’d partaken of a full bottle of Fleurie, just before I posted this!

Looking at it now, I think it might have been a mistake!

Yes, in order not to add to their misfortune, I stay away from them.

I am happy with the path I have taken through I would say I have been very lucky, however I believe we make our own luck. The choices we make often determines whether our luck will be good or bad. IMHO :grinning:

And maybe not!
I think I was/am lucky. Three lovely children, three grandchildren, and a wonderful wife. And I have seen the world. From Canadian Icebreakers to the Sahara Desert.

I just try to think of it under the one category. Luck. Whether that ends up being good or bad. Which I suppose is fate but I have found that even the worst of bad luck can lead to some good luck results and of course, the other way around.
So after that confusing ramble, I wish everyone good luck

If I’m going to re-attach to my opening post, I think I’ll have to open another bottle of Fleurie!

Just got back from the Golf Course.

People were hitting white Golf Balls, out on the the Frost laden fairways, and then wondering why they couldn’t find them.

They can’t even read the labels to find out whose ball it really is, because the frost sticks to the ball!

Madness.

Anyway whoever opened this thread will say I’m off topic - so I’m done!

Ted, Every time l walk up my drive, l honestly gasp and think how so lucky l am to live where l am. I will never take it for granted.

What’s the saying?.. Think lucky and you’ll be lucky!

As for all your apologies on this thread, l don’t understand why? Don’t you savour how lucky you are to have a brain that can create a thread? Ok, it was super energised by a bottle of nice French wine… but who cares… just think YOLO!!

As for the golf balls on a frosty day, it reminded me of Pot Black on black and white television!
