Picnic in the park? No thanks. Sitting on the ground, no-back benches, or folding chairs where I have to lean forward to get at the food? Forget it.

Thank you for confirming my reason for not enjoying picnics - I thought it might just be me who finds sitting on the ground uncomfortable, so eating while sitting on the ground is something that I find unpleasant.

Picnic in the park is more to my liking.
With restaurants too much input to produce a single dish which is why eating out at such places is becoming prohibitively expensive.

And in the park you don’t feel obliged to leave a tip!

I think I’d decline both and just have the meat in an ordinary restaurant.

So not a vegetarian ordinary restaurant !?!

Fortunately nowadays I never have a problem finding vegetarian food to eat in the most basic of restaurants!
But then again I have very basic tastes.

So what’s a Fancy Restaurant? Google bot says:

  • High-Quality Food:

Fine dining restaurants typically use fresh, high-quality ingredients and may feature gourmet menus with creative and often multi-course meals.

  • Elegant Presentation:

Dishes are often presented artistically, and the table settings are meticulously arranged with fine china, crystal glassware, and silverware.

  • Impeccable Service:

The staff is trained to provide attentive and personalized service, often including recommendations on menu choices and wine pairings.

  • Luxurious Atmosphere:

Fine dining restaurants prioritize a sophisticated and elegant ambiance, which can include stylish decor, comfortable seating, and a generally upscale design.

I know the kind of place: Staff making you feel ill at ease, watching you eat. Pouring the wine when you’d rather pour it yourself. I don’t mind the small portions looking artistic. It’s the staff, grrrr.

I quite like oriental, bring a plate of sizzling prawns, a roast duck they can debone in seconds for you, then bugger off
