Where will it end, ?, we’ll have to rewrite the history books if anyone wants to learn about the brave men who manned the midget, sorry, ,vertically challenged submarines, will we still be able to go to a garden centre and ask for a dwarf, sorry, not quite as tall conifer…?
I think most of us or all of us here this is silly nonsense. And probably most of the population in this country feels the same way. If that’s the case there really shouldn’t any concern for our concern for this frivolous nonsense.
I hear they’re changing the name of M&Ms. Apparently these guys are offended
Makes as much sense as the rest.
This is happening more and more. I was devastated when they stopped selling Fat Git Toffee.
I wasn’t interested enough to read through the whole linked article, but I did notice that this initial complaint didn’t appear to come from a midget (or a little person if those words are preferred), but from an ‘academic’ at Liverpool Polytechnic who’s probably trying to make a name for herself.
I thought the phrase “vertically challenged” was in use? I haven’t had any need to use it in conversation, but it was on a list a few years ago. Maybe its been updated now.
Minuscule? Titchy? Not particularly big?
I suppose that I’m down to earth and prefer to call a spade a spade.
I think “people of colour” is the current term.
I think I’m getting a crush on the brown girl on the end…Nice legs!
Mmmmmmm!
No, I much prefer the green girl…
and that isn’t me being racist - the brown girl is wearing glasses.
That’s Matogyaliaphobia., JBR, can’t be having that.
Never heard of that! I Googled it and… nothing.
Did you spell it correctly?
Or did you just make it up?
Well I’ve had a good look around on t’internet and, apart from your one page, I can’t find anything like it.
Oh… is it a Scottish word?
Doesn’t matter…Answers.com is clearly ahead of its time! If its on the internet, it must be true.
Oh yes, of course. I have seen some very interesting things on t’internet…
not that I believe any of them.
I don’t like anything ‘Green’ JB…
And just for the record, Mrs Fox wears spectacles and is a right goer…
I’ll have you know that I wear spectacles and I’m a right goer too!
