With the population of the world at 8,280,145,563 people

the sad total of Covid deaths to date being 7,010,681, it has not made much of an inroad into the total population.
The Black plague which ravaged the world between 1346 and 1353 killed about 50 million people out of an estimated population of 400 million.
This shows that modern humans will most likely never be exterminated by disease.
A large meteor strike is the most likely catalyst for our demise.

The population of the planet will start to decrease in the next 50 years.

If the birthrate in Itally doesn’t change then 100 years time its population will be one fifth of its current level. This is the similar for most western countries and places like Japan - their population is declining.

The trend towards fewer children and therefore lower population is directly linked to education and more specifically to the education of women. Therefore there are still quite a few countries with steadily increasing birth rate, child survivability and population.
These countries are Afghanistan, Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Chad, Dem Rep Congo, Congo, Ivory Coast, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Iraq, Kenya, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Tanzania, Timor-Leste, Togo, Uganda, Venezuela, Yemen, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
Glancing across these countries it is easy to see the link from poor education levels to high birth rates (with only a few exceptions).
