One drawback with this camcorder there is no remote I have found that switches it on and off. The only ones do zoom and stop/start after the camcorder is switched on. This is a bit of a nuisance if one wants to operate wirelessly let alone wired.
I have just bought another unit as in above photo because the old one caused problems. First of all it decided all on its little own to zoom in all by itself and then the port the cable went into started to loose contact so I had to tape the cable into position for it to work.
I also purchased a 5 meter cable so I can watch and hopefully video the birds in the garden at the bird bath instead of just stills.
