If you want to play MOV video files in windows media player forget it with windows 10 anyway. The best windows media player can handle is MP4, isn’t it about time microsoft updated this program ?
Just try renaming the extension to .mp4. MOV is an Apple name in the same way that .m4v is the same as .mkv.
Anyway you are better off downloading VLC or one of the many open source video players and codecs. No one uses Windows Media Player except casual video viewers.
