I’ve just read an article on recycling wind turbine blades??
Apparently there are thousands of wind turbine blades just laying
around on dumps or in stores waiting for a way to recycle them?
They will not just for away with time as they are made with fibre
reinforced resin,(fibreglass??) so cannot be melted down,( which
would use too much power anyway !!)
The reason for having to dump them so soon is that they have
developed much more powerfull and larger blades and so are
upgrading the existing ones by changing the blades!!
Any ideas what to do with the old blades??

No. But they should have thought of that when they made them.

Make barriers across the S-E coasts to prevent rubber boats from landing?
Dont they dissolve in acetone
Brilliant idea - the largest ones could keep the frogs out of our fishing grounds as well.
No, they are thermo cured, which involves a lot of energy, which
as you probably know defeats the object of green energy

Nothing comes without a cost to the planet.
Give them to third world countries to use with smaller turbines.
Make sculptures out of them.
Make skateparks or play areas out of them.
Use them to stop/reduce sea erosion.

What about using them to cure global warming???

What ‘Global Warming’ Donkeyman? Have you seen it out there today?
That caught my attention, though it might take about ten minutes to walk the thing to “hang ten” - and a mighty big wave!
I don’t understand why the things can’t be reworked and reused, OGF.

You’ve just given me an idea Surfermom…
In future, nothing can’t be produced that can’t either be reused or recycled…What do you think?
Yer, just seen your photo OGF !!
Brass monkey weather imo!!

We have a lot more old car bodies just sitting around not being recycled. They are all over the place. We have old water heaters and electric ranges, VCRs, televisions and cell phones, etc. We have bread wrappers and all kinds of stuff that end up in the landfill. The cure for the survival of life on this planet is for the humans to suddenly be gone.
