My mum was a big fan of Billy, not just his singing but because he was fond of animalsβ¦
My Dad was a Rod Stewart Fan amongst his love of Eartha Kitt and My Sister Elvis at the startβ¦ Twin Son Lots, but shared a love of Cliffyβ¦gawd it was one Singer that was always on so loud in our Home β¦but it left a mark on him and he played U2 a lot as well The something Tree CDβ¦Daughter liked everything no one else didβ¦It was a happy time though.
Rod used to be good. One of the few blokes that both girls and boys liked(for different reasons probably)Most of the other solos or leads in the early days appealed to women I think.
Hank lives here in Oz.Some local radio interviewed him.Didnβt know him, didnβt have any idea how much influence he had on would be guitarists in the UK .
Back to Rod,I remember seeing him in a club in the Smoke in the olden days and he had a mod type hair style and didnβt look a ladies man at all.Long John Baldry was there too.All the girls fancied him, little did they know
I had been to Eel Pie Island and Long John Baldry was a regular there back thenβ¦You parked your car nearby, if you were fortunate to be one of the few girls to have your own then, and walk over the bridge, no time at all you went into the Clubβ¦Sadly it got burnt down in the early 70βs
