This video popped up in my Youtube feed, it is very interesting and very scary.

The North Atlantic “cold blob” was predicted by computer modelling as a sign that the climate had reached a tipping point as the AMOC ( Atlantic meridional overturning circulation) collapsed (the Gulf Stream won’t fail that is caused by the Earth spinning). While the rest of the Earth’s water warms this area is cooling - already by -1°…

Northern Europe will cool by many degrees and if you are worried about the Europeans fishing in your waters, fear not, there will be few fish for them to catch by the middle of this century as the up welling of nutrient rich water ceases.

Computer modelling…Pah!
They can’t even forecast the weather correctly for the next week…
They might as well get Terry Pratchett to write something…

The computer modelling predicted the cold blob as an indicator but now it has appeared and is growing, it is a fact, not a computer model.

Terry Pratchett isn’t going to write anything, he is dead.

It remains to be seen Bruce…Although the state of the weather in my part of the UK this summer has been abysmal, perhaps they should be looking in South Yorkshire for a blob…
I’m sure that using AI they could create a forecast from Terry…
