Who is vegetarian or vegan on here?

I’m wondering why that idea had occurred to you Boot? I do from time to time post pictures of homemade savoury snacks, spicy roast chickpeas for example, that’s usually a Sunday thing. I’m quite happy to enjoy a nice veggie meal as long as it isn’t leafy salad! Yeuch, bunny food!!! :rabbit:

I love a chinese, but I can’t eat a whole one.
If ordering a meal by phone ask " do you do take aways". If the answer is yes then say " what is 12 minus 6 then"

Wow, thanks for being honest about your national dish.
But just a little note - turkey & magnificent are not words often sat together. The bird with scraggy feathers and a scrawny neck is rarely called magnificent. Big, yes, I’d expect that. But surely magnificent is reserved for animals like full-antlered deer, prize winning cattle or a 200kg wild boar. Not usually a turkey.

nope!!

I don’t eat meat now just fish.I may be wrong but I don’t think they are mistreated as much as stock animals and poultry.

It’s a good question. On the one hand intensive fish farms are clearly as bad any intensive chicken farm. On the other hand a grass fed, open pasture outdoor reared cow is probably as good as fish taken from the sea. Ok, not quite, to get an equivalent then you’d be looking at hunted deer or boar.
I’ve a friend who has been strictly vegetarian for decades. However she has eaten deer in our house because it was shot locally, grow in the wild and needed culled as the numbers of deer are too high. Her view is that untreated, organic meat that is ethically killed is good.

Maybe not. For example salmon is farmed rather than wild.

Yes, from what I’ve heard, conditions are not that great.

I’ve seen a seabream farm off the coast of Portugal. Altogether more happier healthier looking. Constant change of water washing through the nets.

I love seabream. You can get a fresh (fairly fresh) one in London for a fiver. Stick it in the oven for 20-30 minutes.

H1 Mr d00d. We do like seabream. We just don’t get it fresh here/

I am not vegetarian - however I often have a meatless meal - eg vegetarian lasagne

I am a vegetarian but I don’t like the taste of vegetables so I get a cow, sheep, kangaroo, chicken or pig to digest it first then I eat them. Works for me

We had them in the wild in Kansas. They are BIG and their markings are gorgeous; their feathers are iridescent with unusual blues to greens and magentas that are patterned in a very striking form. At nearly four feet high, they make quite an impression up close.

Albert Einstein was a vegetarian- fun fact
My parakeet did the turkey pokey today too!

I am lost on this one.

Not allowed to kill our native animals/birds however feral horses, deer, pigs, camels, buffalo, dogs ,cats, foxes are all fair game. (I can tell you from experience foxes taste and smell foul - no sorry, just smell foul)
