He said it was fine

That reminds me of a movie trailer I saw recently

I couldnā€™t forgo my steak, chorizo , roast beef etc! :astonished:
Having said that Iā€™m more than prepared to tuck into a nicely prepared vegetarian meal.
Gosh, Iā€™ve never been aggressive with an organic carrot in my life :joy: :carrot:

I can prepare meals with meat just cant eat it.
I remember one Thanksgiving I made a huge turkey for my pug and son, with maple sage glaze and shingled in bacon. Thank goodness that they couldnā€™t see I baked it with those plastic bags inside :rofl::rofl:
I couldnā€™t imagine what carrots would do about carrot abuse :rofl::rofl:

That maple sage glaze sounds delicious! :yum:
Nah! Carrots are fine, as long as they donā€™t gang up with the parsnips, then you have trouble!!! :astonished:

I once went to a planet-saving demo, in Trafalgar Square, I was there to take candid photos. They invited me to their tent for rice & veg curry, was nice of them, the food was petty good too. Thought Iā€™d try it at home, and I did, just the once.

I went through a phase of trying different veggie burgers and sausages, but grew to hate them.

So Iā€™m carnivore most days. But meat carefully selected and prepared, eaten in small quantities.

Ive been to demos similar to this.
I love a good curry too. Yums

Well Liz1, me being a Scotsman, I ought to enjoy Haggis. I much prefer venison.

But I like skinned & boned chicken thighs in my curry, maybe a little veg too.

Have I showed you my organic carrots :carrot:

Chilli, I am surprised - after reading some of the threads about food, I have always thought you had turned Veggie, like me!

@Liz1 Hi Liz, Like you, I can prepare meat meals for my family or friends but I wouldnā€™t want to eat them myself!

Iā€™ve been trying to reduce my meat consumption, especially red meats. My spag bog and chilli now is 50:50 mince and lentils. Iā€™ve also been trying to find dishes that actually work better without meat of any sort. So my couscous dish is simply sweet potato, carrot and chickpeas. And often a butternut, chick pea and spinach curry is better than a chicken curry.
Having said that the list of meat, offal and sausages that I do enjoy is very, very long. I donā€™t like tripe though.

Coincidentally, I went ā€œCold turkeyā€ one Thanksgiving some thirty-odd years ago. I felt horrible about preparing such a magnificent creature for dinner, and decided I just couldnā€™t do it anymore.

I could never be a vegan, but vegetarian?? Maybe temporarily yes, especially because I have to watch my cholesterol , but ā€œtemporarilyā€ doesnā€™t count, does it? You either are, or arent! :woman_shrugging:

Iā€™m wondering why that idea had occurred to you Boot? I do from time to time post pictures of homemade savoury snacks, spicy roast chickpeas for example, thatā€™s usually a Sunday thing. Iā€™m quite happy to enjoy a nice veggie meal as long as it isnā€™t leafy salad! Yeuch, bunny food!!! :rabbit:
