This has really upset me. Poor, frightened creature - it just wanted to find its way home and it probably would have done if it had been left. Yes, I understand it could pose a danger to motorists, but for pity’s sake, they actually managed to corral it, surely they were halfway to capturing it and releasing it back into the countryside? But no, let’s shoot it instead, it’s cheaper

The prats just couldn’t be bothered to handle the situation any better.
I also agree with your comment about what the hell have animals from slaughterhouses got to do with the price of fish!
An appalling, and unecessary death by ignorant people against a defenceless animal.
