Don’t like to use these things very often. There was a white poplar tree on our plot which was cut down by contractors as it had split in a high wind and was a danger. The roots had spread underground and saplings kept popping up so had to use something to finish it off.
Our Ryobi two stroke petrol strimmer makes short work of any long grass and tidies up edges. Has been reliable for a number of years - maybe at least eight now. Lesser electric battery ones have died.
I have a Gtech hedge trimmer. Its taller than me though (I didn’t know this before I bought it) and while it does a great job of slicing through unruly hedge twigs, I feel a bit like Terminator when wielding it!
It’s those same European bastards that got creosote banned in small containers, you can only buy it is bulk here now. I have to make my own but it is nothing like as good.
Fortunately Glyphosate360 is still available.
