I take visitors on a Swan River Cruise, or to Mt Observation so they can have an appreciation of what Western Australia is truly like.
I have not been that far south in Victoria. Certainly looks a great place. Many/too many visitors?
It is very popular especially now since they’ve dropped the admission charge. It’s best to go there in the winter if you want some solitude.
It would depend on their gender and where they came from…
A friend and his missus visited us from Plymouth, we put them up for a few days and visited Meadowhall (A large shopping mall at Sheffield) and Scarborough…
The local Leagues club
Scawsmill Pub and Grill.
Good food and relaxed atmosphere…
@Bretrick It would depend on how many were in my party. For say just 4-6 of us, the The Inglenook, but for more up to twelve, then The Royal Norfolk as both know my likes and dislikes inc any additives.
Cream tea cruise down the river on The Matthew
Cheddar Gorge
Wells, the Cathedral and Bishops garden
They all have lovely places to eat and it makes a nice outing
Portsmouth Harbour. It has historic ships (Nelson’s Victory) and dockyard, The Spinnaker, Gunwharf Quays shopping mall with good eating places.
We had a couple of trips there when we used to stay with our friends who live near Doncaster.
On a Sunday I’d take guest for a drive around town, along the Embankment to the city back along the Stand, Trafalgar Sq, Buck House, Hyde Park Corner, Knightsbridge, home.
Another time I’d do the Sky Garden or Shard but need to book in advance. Then there’s Crossrail to Liverpool Street for lunch at La Tagliata, a boat to Greenwich, hmmm.
