That would be an expensive meal Chilli…
Quite… I’ll stick with scampi Mr Fox!
Omg is it belly pork
Looks more like some kind of gory explosion rather than a meal
But it might well have been very tasty… If I was feeling really peckish I think I’d be tempted.
There’s nothing wrong with down to earth honest fare!
It is on the grease proof paper it was wrapped in by the stall. (saves on washing up)
Can’t argue with that.
I tasted something last night that reminded me of this thread from a couple of years ago.
I know the couple that run one of our local restaurants. Really nice guys and when the chef puts his mind to it, he comes up with great dishes. We were there a bit early for a quick beer in the evening sun. The chef pops out and asks if I might try a dish he’s been working on. So I follow him into the kitchen and get to try … sliced pigs ears. Not again, please.
That’s why they call a doggie bag, a doggie bag.
I had the misfortune to try porky scratchings for the first time last year…
Never again!
Absolutely disgusting, a kind of fatty glutinous texture
I used to like the crunchy pork scratchings until one night down the pub I sucked one instead of crunching it…The resulting fatty mass put me off them for life!
Wasabi sauce!
Never tried it, never will try it. I have heard said that for those not used to it, the nose will feel it the most.
Very unpleasant.
It is a condiment - it is a form of mustard or horseradish. Few would eat either mustard or horseradish on their own. All three are excellent condiments, when applied in suitable quantities.
Of course I didn’t try it on its own, but with sushi. Spoils everything, I’m not keen on sushi either, really.
Sushi is all right. I just use a little soya sauce.
I should hope not … that made my ears twitch and burn.
It sounds as bad as tripe.
Horrible stuff … slimy and knobbly.
Marmite! And I can eat snails, oysters, clams, or most anything else.
I neeeed Marmite on a daily basis.
You are a better man, er…person, than I am, d00d!
All that Marmite … tastes delish and makes you big and strong,
