On my first job, I was assigned to a charity that I was supposed to raise money for. They put me in front of a group of about 350 people and I would ask for money with a video that would invariably break down. I was too young to be too nervous about it.
That was probably the biggest crowd I’ve spoken in front of that I can recall.
What’s the biggest group you’ve spoken in front of?
I had maybe about 80 people when I was heading a project at work and had to give a technical presentation. I was a little apprehensive, but when was ok once I got going.
Probably about 35 people . Talk about my interest in the paranormal and my personal experiences . 45 mins flies by in a flash , I could talk for longer!
Addressing the Haggis in front of about 500
i also had to hypnotise about 200 hypnotherapists
but when i was 18 i played the tennor drum in a Pipe-Band at Hampden Park in front of a crowd of over 100,000 cheering Jocks, so after that everything else was a walk in the park…
Over the years, I’ve spoken to several larger groups.
Mostly groups of 100-130 in the bigger times. At library conventions, Historical Society presentations, Town Board meetings.
I prefer the smaller groups myself. You can connect better with your audience.
