What would you do? #2

I ordered a Bosch oven from a company called appliances direct, had texts and emails confirming delivery yesterday. I wasn’t, so I’ve phoned and emailed them today, and now I’ve got two scheduled deliveries for tomorrow.

So imagine you had two shrink wrapped Bosch ovens delivered, would you take both? Gumtree it? Give it to the homeless/ No that’s not funny.

And where would you keep it whilst the wind blew over?

Do the right thing and just accept one, and send the other back…

I would send one back actually…I did this with a double book order that Amazon sent me. No need for both. So unless you are being charged for both, I would pretend not to be in when the second one arrived! :+1:

If you are being charged for both then…well, take the extra one and Ebay it?

I would wait and see what happens tomorrow - you may only get one delivery in the end.
If I received the 1st scheduled delivery, all well and good - if I received a 2nd delivery, I’d tell the carrier it is a mistake. If they didn’t want to take it back, I’d put it in my garage and let the company know and wait for them to tell me what arrangements they had made for it to be collected.

I would ask them to arrange to collect it. I couldn’t live with the guilt.

I was once issued with two cheques for the same amount. I contacted the company and they said to rip the second one up and l did.

My daughter didn’t receive a parcel of goods from a company. She contacted the company and they sent the order again. Then the original parcel turned up. She contacted the company and they said to keep it, as it would’ve been more trouble and expense to arrange collection.

Well if you know beforehand that you are going to have two delivered, why don’t you get in touch with the supplier and prevent it? :017:

They inconvenience me, and I feel like inconveniencing them.

Anyway, if there are two deliveries, I’ve decided to do the decent thing …

Have they both arrived yet? If so, what was your decent deed…?

HaHa …

Two ovens arrived, told them one is enough for us, so they took the other away with them.

Got it wired up yesterday, celebrated with a leg or lamb last night. £25! but delish, roasted for 3 hours, lots black peeper and nothing else. Loads left over, lovely cold.
