  • Those maddening plastic disks covering food bottles
  • Blister-guard packaging
  • All car and appliance pings, alarms, dings, and buzzers (except an oven timer) that are constantly trying to lord over me.
  • Public smoking
  • Plastic food bottles (bring back glass)
  • Prescription advertisements
  • Too-bright LED car headlights
  • Attorneys

@Margaret, to your point:

Those annoying tiny sachets of ketchup, which takes either super-human strength or disk cutter to openā€¦and end up with just a tiny blob on your plate.

Sort of similar thing. Today I replaced our doorbell battery. It is a single cell 3V. One. Of course we had to buy a pack of ten. Then I had a hullava job trying to open that single cellā€¦the remaining nine cells will last unlil the next decadeā€¦

E-cycles and e-scooters. Nobody was consulted before these monstrous inventions were let loose on the general public. People doctor them so that they can go at 40mph or more and then completely ignore the rules of the road. I have lost count of the completely reckless riders who look left and right and then go through a red light across a junction. Complete idiocy and devastating for any driver who then hits them when they themselves are legally going through a green light. If people want to cycle that is fine, but do so with your own efforts.

They were fun though, now history, done and dusted

interestingly I wouldnt have to ban some of the suggested things - fireworks for sale to members of the public and ads for prescription medications - as these are already banned in Australia.

What I would like to ban is people who donā€™t have ā€˜inside voicesā€™

Good for Australia already banning fireworks, they had sense.

Benefits for people who are fit and healthy but too lazy to work meaning the rest of us have to pay for their upkeep.

yes, quite a few years ago now.

Not because of noise or scared pets though - but because of the number of serious injuries

Awww! donā€™t get me started surferā€¦ :009:
Screens and computers in cars (except engine management ones)
If you need a computer to drive a car you shouldnā€™t be on the bliddy road.
Try looking out of the window if you want to know whatā€™s happening, and what the plank in front of you is going to do when he looks up from his sat nav/radio/car climate control (formerly known as a heater)ā€¦

Is this not mostly a US thing? General advertising of prescription drugs is not permitted in Europe. So no TV, radio, online or print ads for drugs (except over the counter products).
I guess that means banning such ads could be a good idea!
