What tea do you drink

My first wife swore by the application of Chamomile tea for yeast infections.

And quite right too Iā€™m sure :+1:

I drink very little teaā€¦but if I do I wave a tea bag at boiling water drunk without milk or sugarā€¦any old tea bag will do but hubby drinks Yorkshire tea so its usually that.

PG Tips in this house, but Iā€™m a coffee drinker :coffee:

I spent a lit of time when I was in Taiwan. Green tea was the order of the day.

Tea can be quite easily made into wine by the way. I can still remember that lovely smell as it started to ferment with the raisins, yeast and lemon :lemon:

Unfortunately green tea makes be biliousā€¦
:face_vomiting:

Typhoo One Cup bags . Theyā€™re not strong .

Decaf PG Tips, no sugar, no milk for Mr M and myself. :slightly_smiling_face:

Sounds good Zuleika, I donā€™t like strong tea, I drink it to quench my thirst rather than for the taste. Plenty of milk with a small spoonful of sugarā€¦Too strong and it tastes like washing up waterā€¦
:stuck_out_tongue:

OGF you do surprise me thought youā€™d be Yorkshire tea man .
I like milky tea too,no sugar tho and drink it for the same reason as you . Definitely two mugs of it first thing .

I do drink Yorkshire Tea but donā€™t let it brew too long. I usually drink Twinings fruit tea first thing in the morning to hydrate after a nights sleep. My first mug of tea comes after a bowl of porridge and sometimes accompanied by some dunking biscuitsā€¦
:yum:

OGF Iā€™ve never got on with fruit teas , do they actually do anything for you ?
Iā€™m thinking of making proper porridge this coming winter ,which brand of oats do you use ?

The fruit tea is more for the hydration without the caffeine as with tea or coffee Zuleika.
My porridge is ā€˜Scotts Porridge Oatsā€™ 2 oz with 300 ml of semi skimmed milk. Full fat milk is best but not good for the figureā€¦I add a squirt of honey and a sprinkle of sunflower and pumpkin seeds. Donā€™t forget a teaspoon of Turmeric while stirring on the hobā€¦
I have that practically every dayā€¦Summer and Winterā€¦Iā€™m a bit of a creature of habitā€¦

I will try OGF but donā€™t fancy washing pans used for porridge making these days .

What! donā€™t you have a microwave?

Cup of water, half a cup of Quick Oats in your bowl.

Microwave for about 2 minutes - just watch it the first time until it comes up like a volcano for the timing. Stir, add butter, milk and eat. (Sugar if you want)

Perfect porridge and just a bowl to wash up. My breakfast this morning.

I didnā€™t know about the volcano Bruceā€¦very sticky mess all over the microwave! I use a pan on the hob, but now i know the trick I might revert. Thanks

Forget the microwave, use a pan and do it properly for heavenā€™s sake!

Decent oats diligently attended to on the hob perhaps with a little cinnamon, served with some mixed dried fruit, almond flakes and runny honey.
Or fresh/frozen fruit, blueberries, blackberries, sliced banana etcā€¦ make it yer own :+1:

What is the difference between Quick Oats and Rolled Oats? Absolutely nothing except the grind is finer.

The difference between heating water in a microwave and on a hob? Absolutely nothing except the amount of washing up it produces.

Precisely, the quick/finer grade oats have a more sludgy consistency than the whole rolled oats, and a carefully attended pan produces far superior results than a microwave anyday. Itā€™s something to enjoy and indulge in, anyway whatā€™s the big deal with washing up a pan and a wooden spoon itā€™s hardly backbreaking work
