What takes a lot of time but is totally worth it?

It’s gonna take me a while to think of something, but it will be worth it!

Home-made pesto using home-grown basil.

It’s a lot more faffing about to sow and grow the basil, then make it into pesto - and it takes much longer than opening a jar of ready-made pesto! - but it tastes so gorgeous, it is definitely worth the effort.

And now unpacked & set up for tomorrow.

@Tiffany I have got to ask because my curiosity is getting the better of me -
What is a “comi-convention” ?

It’s like a fair with people selling items to do with comics, film or TV. People also dress up as their favourite characters from the comics, films or TV. They have competitions for the best. Lots of things to do & photo shoot opatunities, plus all the stalls selling items. It’s great fun to do but hard work.
A few pics from previous Comi-Cons.

Wow!
Thanks for the explanation.
There’s so much happening out there I have no idea about!

Looking at those pics reminded me how much I liked the Wookiee from Star Wars - It would be cool to meet a Wookiee at a Convention. :+1:

You are very welcome Boot. The Wookie smelt, don’t think he’s had his costume ever cleaned. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Ewww! You’ve put me right off Wookiees now!

Taking the single Ski lift, the one you put in between your legs and get pulled up the mountain solo, but great, as you can take in the whole scenery on the way up, then, when you reach the top and disembark, fun all the way

That looks amazing Tiff, and so much fun… :+1:t2:
Somebody should start a thread…If you were to attend, who would you come as?

If I had the costume, I’d be Daenerys from Game of Thrones. I would love to own dragons.

Looking at those pictures, and answering the OP i should imagine the two Transformers costumes, not really into Transformers, too old by the time they appeared here in UK, great costumes though

The yellow one is Bumblebee, don’t know who the other one is, but yes, Transformers. They are brilliant costumes & must be very hot to wear.

Knitting socks. Well worth the effort though. These are the only socks my husband and son will wear now. They are made to measure so no toe pinching or bulkiness. They are very comfy and wash in the machine @ 30C. They do not make your feet smell.

Knitting my husband purple ones at the moment.
