Well perhaps that was because, together with the Yanks, we went and bombed the crap out of their own countries, so can you blame them?

And probaby soon .
Krakatoa left a baby Anak Krakatoa ( child of Krakatoa ) that is getting bigger every year and is very much an active volcano - it last erupted in 2022

I remember when we were young teenagers me and my best mate convincing a boy that women don’t fart, only men

Women don’t fart. They do however shoot tiny puffs of glitter that sound like a unicorn’s laughter and smell like rainbows.

Picture it. I was 17, I went out with both my younger sisters and their boyfriends as their “chaperone”. Both guys were in active service. Airforce. They had guns. I convinced one of them to let me shoot.

Yes, I know that was a really dumb thing to do. What was I thinking.

They were being that bad???

Yes. That too. Trying to impress the older sister I guess. That’s the first time I ever discharged a firearm.

Not the last?

No. I’m a good shot but out of practice. I’ve never shot a living creature. I’ve only ever used cardboard and clay pigeons for practice.

A few years before I retired I was working on a piece of unmanned drone technology. It was without doubt the highest security level I have ever been granted, way above NATO levels, and getting in and out through security checks sometimes took longer than we spent doing the job.

Anyway, the work piece had a very odd and unique feature. Despite our elevated security levels, none of us knew what this feature was for, but I managed to convince a colleague that it was where the pilot sat …

while working on the foundations for Drax Power Station over fifty years ago my brother in law stood on a nail that pierced his wellies it was a nasty wound but he refused to go to the first aid, which was stupid, his reason?.. a fear of needles, he said they gave you two injections Penicylin and i canny remember the one to prevent lockjaw…lol…
anyway i asked if he had ever heard of ‘the sugar lump’ for dellivering certain drugs into the uman system… well he had six kids so yes he had heard of the sugar lump, so i pointed out that as they had to train a person to give an injection, anyone can give the sugar lump… so off he went… he never spoke to me for a month…lol…
