I didn’t have posters up in my room as a teenager. The only poster I ever had in my bedroom was…when I was a coach for my son when he played little league baseball. I got into NY Yankees and was enthralled with Bucky Dent, shortstop. I was 30 years old, married, and needed that poster to drool over!
The poster, and even Bucky now at 72 years old. He has held up well; I still admire him.

I was obsessed with the Beatles at an early age, but had no posters. I do remember a couple of pictures of green F1 cars: Jim Clark and Jackie Stewart, I think.

Pictures of Elvis taken from magazines so not really posters.

Us and our cousin…

@Bretrick Considering many of my teenage years were spent in boarding school where only inside your cupboard was viable, I really cannot remember hanging any posters or pictures when I was home other than one my Nan thought was disgusting because it was one of my rellies over the pond on grandfather’s side. I think it might still available on-line so I’ll see if I can find it and then edit this post. Her mum Pauline was grandfather’s cousin. She crossed the sea as a dancer and married a Hungarian violinist who became a music director.

WoooHoooo, I’ve found it …this is Francesca (stage name Mitzi) :point_right:she was born in 1931 and she’s still alive & kicking at 92 :+1:

I’ve just found a link to her mum.

Oh definitely Duran Duran.

I remember at school, each and everyone of us had a crush on different members of the band, the most popular was Simon Le Bon, but my best friend and I were mad about Roger Taylor. We would never miss a single magazine where there was a poster of them . We would visit every newsagent in Islington if we had trouble finding them, until we did!

At risk of veering off topic to some extent this used to be an excellent publication. My mum used to buy it for me on the way home from school when I was about ten or eleven.

And then the inevitable arguments arose about having long hair and wearing platform shoes for school, happy days!

Oh , you did get a little centre page pull out poster with Popswop so perhaps I’m not off topic after all…
