and I would keep my camera forever if I could get it back!
Why do we do these things? Sigh!
On a thread like this, hugely interesting I must say, why would anyone wish they had kept an item with thoughts of ebaying it? I suppose we are surrounded by such worthlessness that if we could sell something for, in real term, just a little less than we paid for it we feel chuffed for five minutes.
I bought a Victorian cape from an antique clothes shop in the early 70s and also a peculiar (material wise) coat from the 40s.
They were gorgeous and I had some lovely comments about them. I partied lots and went to dances lots, which the cape was just made for;-) I wore it so much the material started to deteriorate in parts. So I wrapped it up and put it away in the cupboard. Fast forward to 3 house moves later and I binned it.
I wish I hadn’t.
The coat I wore daily. Dad hated it and never shut up about it every time he saw me in it. Don’t know what happened to it, but it was seriously well worn. It was such an easy coat to wear. I’d love to still have it
It could be a signed Cliff Richard Calendar. Best to sell it I say.
I’d burn it personally…
Just remembered the parachute silk nightie my Auntie gave my, I wonder what happened to it!
Old thread… but I wish I had kept all the spare buttons that comes with trousers and shirts! I noticed that I lost a button from one of my favourite hiking trousers when it came out of the wash
