What is your favourite, most used M43 lens?

For anyone with a Micro Four Thirds camera, what is your favourite, most used lens?

For me it’s the Lumix 42.5mm f/1.7 prime. Small, light, lovely images and, of course my favourite focal length.

It’s been attached to my little GX800 for about a year now. This is good gear for just about any photo walk. Fits in a coat pocket, or the smallest camera bag.

Little trick worth knowing is how to keep the ribbed barrel grip clear of dust. I use an old toothbrush.

this is a Lumix constant f2.8 lens Vario -Elmarit which stays the same length as all movement is inside the Barrel. Having a fast focus even when videoing at close range produces a video I find acceptable. Today I was walking around the back garden videoing some acorns on the grass only waste height distance and happy with the result

Having read and watched review on this lens I can see why all rave over it. Costing new around the £1000 mark it ain’t cheap which is why I bought from Japan direct in “near mint” condition and save a few £100.

Of course it depends on what your photographing this one above of the lens was taken with the panasonic Leica Elmarit 45mm f2.8 macro prime lens .My go to for this kind of photo.

I had this lens and still is one I go to often is the Leica Elmarit 12-60mm F2.8-4.0 which I took to Portugal .

it is great for general photos as above

When will we see some sausage photographs?

Spittie you won’t see any sausage photos as you might get over excited , experiment and get them stuck in unusual places on your body

I use just two:
18 - 55
75 - 300

RS, that ain’t goin to happen.

Besoeker.
can you please expand a little more on those lenses of yours please. Such as make. f.stops. and why you like them. I at least am interest in what others use

I do have this one though a leica 45mm f2.8 macro elmarit lens. So why would I want that one with a lower standard of lens glass? it isn’t even up to Leica standard

A different kettle o fish. I have both, and I can tell you the 45mm may have its place as a macro lens, albeit, not a very good one, but the 42.5mm is smaller, lighter, faster and captures glorious images.

this is why I have bought this. It is on its way from Japan right now

[TOP MINT] Panasonic LEICA DG SUMMILUX 25mm F1.4 II ASPH. H-XA025 for M4/3

the latest version MK2 with weather sealing, the earlier one MK1 didn’t have it
So why this one and not the 9mm one instead? because of the distortion ,I don’t like the way the buildings each side bend in towards each other at the top.

I did look at the 45mm one you have but the field of view is less , good though it is i wanted one without distortion and a wider field of view. so the nearest to meet my needs was this 25mm one
