I honestly don’t know what the word is that Mike Tindall called Prince Harry.
Can somebody fill the gaps in for me please?
A bell end…
I was wondering who’d be first to explain …… I was determined it wouldn’t be me!
Well done, Vlad
butt end
the thicker end of something, especially a tool or a weapon.
One could be described as Thick or a Tool. One has a choice.
No, Bell End, pound to a penny.
I have been called the same or worse in my time
This was like a puzzle. First, different papers had different words starting with a b. Then even when I found the right word upthread, I still didn’t know what it meant. After looking it up, slightly disappointed.
I didn’t dare reply, because I didn’t want to have to explain
Well thanks everybody.
Now I’ve got the word (Which I’d never heard of) I asked google what it meant.
What does it mean to be called a bell end?
A bell end is slang the head of a penis. It’s used in UK as an insult for a jerk or someone acting stupid or contemptibly. It’s a bit similar to calling someone a dickhead.
So now I know.
Why? Not rude enough?
No, just not so colorful to warrant that kind of attention, it seemed to me. The amount of press it got was surprising.
Anything to do with the royals causing media saturation. It’s the UK’s longest running soap opera.
Never heard it before but its a good name for the ridiculous names thread …Belle End maybe its too rude
will have to remember that one .
I bow to your greater expertise!
Hi
Harry has severe PTSD, leave him be.
He went back to fight abroad, he had no need to, he chose it.
Considering Tindall’s age and occupation, the epithet he used was quite mild really, so I’m not sure why the media reported it as if it was so shocking.
Tindall’s a Yorkshire lad and a similar age to my sons, so it’s no surprise to hear that he used that insult for a member of his extended family.
My sons used to call each other that quite often when one of them annoyed the other - it was no big deal - just their uncouth way of saying they thought the other was behaving in an annoying manner.
A minor spat between extended family members is nowt to write home about.
Many years in the military being called similar and calling others the same Bell end is almost a term of endearment to be honest
If I remember correctly shw used to hang around with Dick Head and Ann Drogenous ?
People don’t believe me when I tell them “git” is quite affectionate to us Londoners!
( But “sunshine” is fighting talk, of course)
Well i have just realised that i know alot of bell-ends.
Can`t wait for Christmas,do you think they will show their faces ?,lol.
