It must be most annoying for Rose2 to go around hearing everyone singing " just one cornetto give one to me" every time she steps outside.As she is in Italy
it is so easy to speak Italian all you have to do is add an “a” to every word such as “Whata youa wanta” 
Really? “Cornetto” finishes with an “o”.
Oh, and when I’m asked this, I tell them to go and buy one themselves, I won’t give up my one.

There’s something really nice about having some peace and quiet after a long day. I enjoy being around people, but I definitely appreciate my own quiet time too. What do you usually like doing when you’re having one of those peaceful days?

That’s a lovely way of looking at it. I think we sometimes get so caught up in everyday life that we forget to actually notice what’s around us. I’ve been appreciating nature a lot more myself lately, especially those quiet moments when you can just stop and take it all in. Do you have a favorite place near you for enjoying the countryside?

Now that’s something I can definitely get behind! There’s something satisfying about enjoying the food you like without constantly thinking about the waistline. And you mentioned chocolate biscuits… now you’ve got me thinking about snacks! What’s your favorite treat?

I like that way of looking at life. Getting older definitely seems to teach you to worry a little less about things you can’t control and just enjoy the day you’re given. I’m trying to do more of that myself. What’s something you’ve learned over the years that you wish you’d realized sooner?

Patience is something I have developed over the years and especially since my retirement 26+ yrs ago. During my much younger years, I had a somewhat short fuse and never really appreciated those who exhibited greater patience than I was capable of, but time has tamed the inner me and now anything that could have irked me, passes straight past me and into oblivion

Yes, the runner you are Mr Fox. My cousins other half is also a runner, Marathons as a rule. Recently he was in the other Antipodes - the Antarctic and then Australia Younger? Around seventy.

For me it’s being alone. I used to hate it when I was younger and was always in the thick of things. The past years it’s now become a thing I enjoy. I daily walked my Dageus in the forest or one of the wee sheltered Coves, often not meeting a Soul. Living on the farm in the wild north is very off putting to people who like company.

I understand what you mean, Ambre. I think life teaches us some of those lessons the hard way. Being nice to someone and actually being there for them are two different things, and sometimes you don’t realize the difference until you’ve already given too much of yourself.
I’ve learned that friendship shouldn’t feel one-sided. It should grow naturally, with both people making an effort and getting to know each other over time. I’m not in a hurry with people either. I’d rather have a few genuine connections than a whole lot of people I barely know.
I think you can still keep an open heart without giving everyone your trust straight away.

That sounds beautiful, Rose. I can see why that would be your favorite place, especially having that view right from your house. There’s something peaceful about being able to look up at the mountains whenever you want. I’d probably find myself staring at them with a cup of coffee more often than I should . Do you ever go up there, or do you mostly enjoy the view from home?
