What is one piece of advice your parents gave you that turned out to be 100% true?
I was raised by my paternal grandparents and when I passed 6’ to become 6’ 6", I was advised not to confront any aggression and walk away rather than injure anyone. Definitely very wise advice :yes:

Gentle giant wisdom at its finest! Your grandparents knew exactly what they were doing.
That’s funny because I was told if someone hits you, hit them back. Not that I remember if that ever happened. Not in my nature to fight fire with fire.
Sitting too close to the tv didn’t damage my eyesight but computer monitors definitely did. So maybe a true connection there. However, you don’t wet the bed if you play with fire.

We were also taught not to get into debt, I never have unlike my sisters who were up to their eyes in it as soon as they were old enough, and have been ever since !
(But knew better than to come to me to borrow anything) 
My Mum & Dad always told my brother and I to not leave job without another one to go to.
Something I’ve always done and my son does too.
