I’ve been into antiques and vintage things for as long as I can remember and I still can’t fully explain it to people who aren’t. The closest I get is that new things don’t have much of a story yet.
I like going through old shops and markets where nothing is organized and you have to actually look. Half the time I don’t buy anything. That part doesn’t bother me.
Curious what draws the rest of you to it. Is it specific eras, specific things, or just the general feeling of the whole business.

Old and vintage things have a sort of fascination for me, I think they have done as far back as I can remember. The different styles and colours as fashions and tastes change over the course of time.
I’ve posted this before on the forum but I used to find discarded clay tobacco pipes on The Thames Foreshore when I had a permit to do so
I’m quite keen on 70s style things/clothes too!
I have a nice old school 70s phone, it’s been converted!
It’d be an absolute pleasure to get out searching in charity shops, bric a brac, markets etc for vintage goodies this summer if possible, antique shops are a bit pricey!
