What I'm listening to

Big admirer of this guy, Low-fi, he often performs in strange places like the back of taxi cabs and this.

In memory of Comrade Pete Seagar.

I’ve had a Band day today. Every time I go back to them I am newly amazed at their brilliance and the fact that their music is as fresh now as it was the day it was recorded. Five fantastic multi-instrumentalists who created their own blend of sublime musical fusion from Rock’n Roll, the Blues, Bluegrass,Country and Folk Music and imbued it with some of the most intense and moving vocals ever heard. Robbie Robertson - superb songwriter and guitarist, Garth Hudson - musical genius, Levon Helm - drummer, mandolin player and earthy, honest vocalist, Richard Manuel - keyboard player and powerful, yet emotionally vulnerable vocalist, and Rick Danko - bass player, fiddler and blessed with the voice of a heartbroken angel. Not just The Band, but THE Band!

Was amused by this.
