From Westminster today. I was expecting a bit more action, but nevermind, I’m please with these. Good old fashioned British good nature with a sprinkling of eccentricity.
Hi
The thing about this that I find very wrong is that MPs can demand and get more scarce police resources.
We have women being killed by partners and ex partners, witness intimidation, people scared to go out of their houses and being terrified by yobs day in and day out because there are not enough Police.
They are magically found when it is MPs.
What happened to Ms Soubry is wrong, but so is what is happening day in day out to ordinary people.
Since when did ‘people’ matter ??? You are confusing parliament with elected officials who care when it’s obvious to all if they were paid on performance they would be very low earners
Paid on performance?
They have no job description, no required qualifications and no measurement of performance. They can decide how much time to spend ‘on the job’.
What other ‘job’ has no appraisal system other than an election every 5 years.
Unfortunately quite a few MP’s act like 18C aristocrats beyond reproach and with a privileged position in society. End of rant.
A train load of nuclear waste - just passing through - 25 wagons of the stuff.
Do you know where it’s going ST?
Not sure - it was South bound though. Probably reprocessed stuff from Sellafield going for disposal somewhere. It felt quite eerie as there were no other trains coming/going through the station until this one was out of sight.
Get an L Bracket they can hold a light and the microphone well away from the lens. You can just see the two mounts just above the grip. Solid and cheap as chips on Ebay
The inspire filming today in Liverpool
Love your ’ Rant’ Toners - and more than a grain of truth lies
therein!
Silver Tabby, I thought your photos were interesting so I went fishing and found this.
The Sellafield site, split by the River Calder, is known to be the most hazardous industrial facility in Europe
Deep in the heart of Sellafield, Britain’s biggest nuclear waste site, a small piece of history is playing out…….
A very interesting article - thank you!
I wish I could find a bit more to do with my camera. Maybe when Spring gets here I’ll be a bit more enthusiastic.
Wasn’t it once called Calder Hall? In the days when it leaked dramatic amounts of nuclear radiation into the surrounding country side. Windscale is another notorious site which I think is associated with it, can’t remember exactly why but it dates back to the 1950s.
I vaguely remember reading many years ago that it changed its name to try to escape its dubious polluting past.
BTW yesterday’s old lady at a bus stop is Ms d00d
Today I went to Southwark Cathedral
… and on the way I passed the HoP and saw this old bloke waving the EU flag!
Oh wow, so beautiful, thanks Dood
Dawn over Sainsbury’s car park this morning about 7:45am I just loved the patterns in the sky! Taken at 5min intervals.
I did take this on a phone at lunchtime
