Very surprised as well- just been in the place 18 months and this lovely rose seems to flower all year- small buds in ‘winter’ but worth cutting and bringing into the house to open up.
We had a vase of rose flowers on the table on Christmas day!

You A quick saute in butter and then use a pin to prise them out of their shell. Not a big meal but a tasty snack! Collect them in rocky sea pools.You will only find the shells on sandy beaches. They like the same sort of habitat as mussels. Wash and soak in water for 30 mins. Steam or saute like mussels.Yummy
