Ah, but when we fail to be aware or remember, we won’t know there’s anything to worry about. That will be the time for our loved ones, not us, to worry
It was my daughters wedding at the local church. Mrs Fox was taken to the church by some friends while I accompanied the bride (my daughter) in the gleaming white Bentley.
The plan was, that on the way to the venue after the ceremony, I would be dropped off at home and continue on the journey in my own car. Excitedly, I caught up with the Bentley and followed the happy couple to the hotel where the celebrations were to be held.
I forgot to collect Mrs fox from the church! I only realised when all the guests enquired as to the whereabouts of Mrs Fox…She had to cadge a lift with the vicar…She was not happy and I had to keep her in drinks for the rest of the evening…And the vicar!

When I saw the photo I thought you must have been starring in the local Am Dram performance of “What the Butler Saw” straight afterwards
Yes! A proper ‘thespian’ Bruce…I think that’s what they called me…
That reminds me of an incident many years ago. I had signed up to a dating organisation and arranged to meet a man. We got chatting over a couple of beers then I went to the Ladies. On returning I realised I couldn’t remember what my date looked like and I sat down opposite a total stranger. The look on his face was a picture. Fortunately my “real” date was on the next table.
We didn’t see each other again
