What Do You Think To The ‘Rent-A-Kents’?

I have met Prince Michael once he looks astonishing like the last Tsar of Russia , he has a face out of history .

I have only seen photos of him but I am always struck by his likeness to the last Tsar - I believe Prince Michael is “doubly” related to the Tsar - through his maternal family line as well as through the Royal Family on his Father’s side. I cannot remember the details of the family relationships that brought this about.

I found this if its helpful? Its quite a mix!

Thanks for that @PixieKnuckles - I remember reading about all the different genetic links he has to the Tsar but no wonder I couldn’t remember the details! - I’ve just read them in that link a few times and still haven’t quite grasped it!

I know! My eyes boggled as I read it. I got by the “three grandparents” and the “fourth cousins thrice removed” or whatever it was exactly, and gave up! I was interested to read that most of the royals are related to the Tsar in some way though…very curious!

The ‘rent a Kents’ will be just like the pseudo ‘Sussexes’, retiring from public duty but still expects to trade in on the name when it suits them. To me the phrase ‘Duke of whatever’ is only a name. Same applies to the title Lord or Sir. Only a title written on paper. As part of one my previous alumi admin role was to send out letters to various ex college bods. I was in the habit of not using Ones title. Only Mr or Mrs. Boy! was that wrong. I was told if the correct title was not used or I sent the letters out in brown envelopes, the said letter would not been opened let alone read. Even thought the said envelope had the college name on the franking mark. Some pompous gits about or what??
