Each time I wake up in the mornings and fire up the computer and checkout what’s been happening on the forum…One day it won’t be there…
… waking up in the morning.
The beauty of nature - and the fact that it’s free. You just have to open your eyes and really see it.
It’s not the fact that nature is free Sheba, it’s the fact that everything else is so expensive…
Dex where on earth are you going too ?
Exotic places like Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Rotherham
Take a little travel kettle .
I always do just in case and have found it very useful .
Not every foreign hotel / ferry provides them although I have yet to see a saucepan .
Are you sure that it’s not for washing purposes
I assume you don’t mean that I stand in the kitchen area sink and pour water over my head?
Anyway, nope. There are cups and mugs in the cupboards, hot (washing) water from the taps, and a few pans around. But no kettle (neither hob top nor electric)
@Dextrous63 , You must be in Greece then ?
Koz the Greeks don’t even have a word for gas cooker !!
Let alone electric kettle !?
Excuse the Koz bit !
We are just back from Turkey. We had an electric kettle, hotplate and pans in our room.
Ooh. There’s progress!!
On the subject of Greece, we take for granted that we can flush loo paper down the pan, unlike in Greece!!
Hi
Their lifestyle, and that can change very quickly.
We take our health for granted until we’re less well then we appreciate what it is to be well and healthy
you don’t know what you got 'til it’s gone

Funnily enough our house in France has a kettle, bought from a French supermarket. Same with the toaster. These are very common items in Europe.
