Have always adored Pattie Smith her music is on high rotation on my Spotify account (strictly speaking my daughter’s account)
Funnily enough I have only read one of his books - Atonement - it is also the only film I have seen where the film was actually better than the book.
(At least I think Ian McEwan wrote it)
Around 25 million copies of this book have been sold. I suspect that less than 100 people actually made any sense of it. Like you, I’m not one of them.

I find volume 25 most informative!

This book has just popped through the door from Amazon. I got it cheap as chips second hand although in immaculate condition

It must have been about thirty years ago when I first read it but frustratingly had forgotten the title of the volume.
To cut a long story short I was on a course last week when the subject of helicopters cropped up.The fella I was chatting to was able to refresh my memory.

I am three quarters the way through my first Michael Connelly book The Black Echo.
It took me a little while to get used to his style and his long chapters but am enjoying it very much

I enjoyed these books @Bruce. They ran a series of Bosch on Netflix.
I am currently reading Steve Cavanagh, The Devil’s Advocate
Anybody else read Normal People by Sally Rooney. It sold in millions and got fantastic reviews. To be fair, I very much liked it and it is beautifully written. But for me, the problem was the two main characters. I just found them (both young adults) to be hugely irritating. Self obsessed, indecisive and pish at communicating. If that is the new normal then the human race is doomed. Apart from that a very good book!
I am just finishing “The Black Ice” by Michael Connelly
and have just bought today "Dark Desert Road" by Tim Ayliffe, it comes highly recommended
He’s an Aussie author, if he is half as good as Jane Harper it should be a good read.
