The latest Annie Lennox album is interesting. I like the folky ones but a couple of the others are dire.

Crowning of the Year CD - Madeline McNeil; Christmas and New Years music on the hammered dulcimer. A beautiful listen, and she uses a different tune for Auld Lang Syne which I actually prefer to the traditional one.
I’m listening to the most beautiful cellist, Adam Hurst, playing his album, “Elegy”. I just discovered him on Oregon Public Broadcast last night & already own two of his albums, “From Silence” & “Elegy”. Fantastic music!
I’m trying to find the correct name of an old Jimmy Durante song so I can look it up. I thought it was called ‘My nose’s golden anniversary’ but when I looked up his discography, it was not there so I must have the wrong title. I remember a line went like this, ‘When I was born it was the first time in history the nose outweighed the child’. I would love to hear it again as my Dad used to sing bits of it now and then, anyone know it?.
That brings back some sweet memories of my late Dad, thanks a million Mags, you’re a real gem.

Arvo Pärt is one of my favourite composers - and this is my favourite piece
Ha! very funny, how do you follow that as the Man says. I am listening to some nice songs by Billy Joel, The River of Dreams never fails to gladden my heart, ‘We didn’t start the fire’ always reassures me that I’m not to blame for the way things are in the World today, and ‘Uptown Girl’ reminds me that one should never aim too high, and there endith the lesson for today:-)
