What are you having for supper?

Toad in the Hole followed by Spotted Dick?

Typical English, or the names are. Any equally descriptive Aussie food dishes. I know how you guys have a way with words.

We had pan fried salmon, broccoli & cheese sauce.

We have a Meat Pie Floater - A single serve pie in a bowl of pea soup.
Bangers and Mash - Sausages and Mashed Potato

sounds good

That’s olde English

I can’t think of many Aussie only food names except perhaps these:

Snags, Pavlova, Lamingtons, Balmain Bugs, Dagwood Dogs, Fairy Bread, Parmigiana, Chiko Rolls.

Toad in the Hole is probably only known to us pommie immigrants, certainly not the general population.

It’s a pleasure, but you missed out the best bit:

In 2009, the Australian CSIRO was awarded $200 million after a patent settlement with 14 technology companies, with a further $220 million awarded in 2012 after legal proceedings with 23 companies.[25][26][27]

Well done!
