Already had it. Chicken with a nice special rub. Usual new potatoes, broccoli, and red pickled cabbage.
The shifts I worked were permanent nights, the only change over was on finishing the last night, then for either two or three days. depending on how many nights were worked, it was back to the ‘correct’ way of living. That change over was where the problem always seemed worse. The three-shift system must be even worse though, the last shift is finished at say 06.00hrs then the next one might start at 14.00 hrs that same day. With that there’s hardly even time to get enough sleep after taking into account travelling time each way. Given my time again I wouldn’t have done the night shifts for so long. Hindsight is a great thing though isn’t it!
Jewish Chicken Penicilian with Mash Potatoes.
Later today:
I am envious of this…I can’t eat “wet” eggs anymore as they give me gyp, but this looks nice.
IIRC, you like “spicy” …
Spicy sits very well with me, though! I have no idea that is the case? My stomach seems to be adverse to bland
This is an alternative:
I made that! Just ate the chorizo though
So why cook it with eggs …
Because I was making it for 4 other people at the time, It wasn’t just for me.
I was meant to cook this yesterday but our plans changed.
So, today’s lunch was chicken curry with extra potatoes (my son’s request) and spiced rice with a simple cucumber salad. Perfect for the cold weather!
Looks fab Minx, Omah’s pics too.
We had baked potatoes, tinned tuna, cheese. It was OK.
Beef stew made by our neighbour with tea biscuits I’m baking right now and apple crumble pie. ( only I’m not having any pie - just taking it )
