Not a Thing…My Jeans are getting tight
Glad you enjoyed it UJ and tell you something…you really should write a cookery book you know as you sure are a good cook. ![]()
we had tuna salad with baked potato and home made apple pie for pudding with clotted cream
Used up the last of the beef (from last Sunday’s roast) yesterday. Sliced an onion and peeled and chopped several cloves of Garlic, chopped the beef into cubes. Placed them into a frying pan with a little oil, added (Iceland’s) Savoury Rice and veg and a jar of Chow Mein sauce. Turned down the heat and left it all to simmer for approx 30 -40 mins. Voila Chinese Beef chow mein.
pork chops with mash and veg today no pudding planned as yet, we might just have fruit and ice cream.
back at caravan salmon escalopes with tamato salsa, jacket potato and salad, followed by cheese.![]()
During my Thursday evening shop at Aldi, I eyed the frozen beef joints; something I haven’t had in a long while so, at £3.99 a lump, I bought one.
It’s now defrosting in my fridge and tomorrow, when I get home from work, it will go into my slow cooker. Then, I’ll have a couple of slices of it, and an old-fashioned roast din-dins with a Yorkshire pud and veges, mayhap roasted potatoes as well. Would anybody care to join me?
No? Ah well. The rest will be sliced up for the freezer.
Mollie darlin’ - you CANNOT have roast beef without roast parsnips too - just NOT done!!!
Mollie we’re only in Preston I’m sure we could get there in time for dinner and the dog only has a small one.
Right, I’ll set the table. Be here 7 for 7.30.
Cheers Mollie we’ll be bang on time

I’ll be a bit late as I’m having my hair cut at 6:30, and it’s a long drive to your place, so save me a bit.

Making a Chinese Meal tonight.
Special Fried Rice, Chicken and King Prawn Curry Chinese Style and some Sweet and Sour Chicken…oh and some Prawn Crackers that im not making…the nice people at some Factory somewhere done that

Sausage and spring mash pie. I’ve been very industrious in the kitchen today also made two lamb hotpots for the freezer and a soup called London Particular.
I’m glad I tasted the gravy I made for the lamb: I used Knorr Lamb cubes and they are HORRIBLY salty (its the first ingredient on the contents BTW)
I’ve had to have a glass of chocolate wine to take away the taste :-D:-D
yuk chocolate wine. :!:
Ditto.
I was looking at it in Asda yesterday and thought that then. Yuk not ditto.
Now wine with a little chocolate is a different thing entirely:lol:
