Yes we whisk it that makes a frothy topping almost mousse like on top of the milky jelly. Other than that we do it like you.
Full Sunday Roast - Beef, roast tatties, carrots, Parsnips, & leeks… May add some steamed sprouts too.
Pasta with a sprinkle of Parmesan
Pea soup
And no pud we are starting a cut down on sugar so cheese and crackers if anyone wants them.
But, but, but you can’t eat cheese and biscuits without washing it down with a decent Port Julie darlin’.
Nah, don’t fancy them!!! - not as good as pigs trotters!!!
You can but my husband might have a tiny glass he’s still making his way through the bottle we opened three years ago.
Tea total the rest of us either religious reasons or health my medication sends off into the clouds at times I can’t imagine adding alcohol would improve the situation
I often feed them to the dogs never occured to me to serve them up to the family. Were they nice ?
They are a delicasy and a huge seller in my local asian wholesalers - both cooked and raw. However - whilst interesting, I wouldn’t do it again A bit like skin on a stick
Going to do fish myself. Might just cook it in parsley sauce, and do the potatoes and veg separate, rather than a pie.
Tht’s exactly how I imagined they’d be. There can’t be any meat at all except for the tiny pad in the middle of their foot, and the skin itself is all scaly too.
'Orrible.
Tonight I’m making Jambalaya for the gang.
Or was thinking about trying this:

I agree mups, as I said food for the dogs although Betty looks at me like I’m mad offering her a bit if you deep fry them they puff up and make a crunchy snack for them.
Afternoon. I’ve not posted properly on the forum other than on introductions and thought this would be a good place to start.
We’re having a beef dinner later on and just trying to decide whether to cook a bacon sandwich to keep us going.
Love jambalaya although we’ve not had one for a while.
Not sure I fancy the sound of skin on a stick
Cheesy leek mashed potatoes, with a pretend chicken thing made of quorn. Sweet corn to go with it.
Mini pizzas for lunch, snacking on Pringles, and defrosted roast pork slices for a roast meal later. Dessert will either be a strawberry cheesecake, or banana and custard.
I had chicken feet twenty five years ago in China. Have not bothered to have them again. Their frog’s legs were as bad, tiny skiny things with no meat. I was the only one in my group willing to try them.
Tonight I am going to my son’s for dinner, for first time in three months. We are having roast leg of lamb and all the trimmings, followed by Christmas pudding, as we have none of us had any this festive seasom.
Making my own Meat Pie today with Jacket Potato and Bake beans.
From the remains of the ‘Sunday Roast’, will make a pot full of beef stew and dumplings.
Grace fancies a cheese and onion pie so with a bit of advice from me she’s making lunch today. She’s turning into a nice little cook, takes after her late mum who was a great cook.
