2 pair of kippers for breakfast this morning. Will go and investigate what I have in my fridge or freezer for my lunch.
Chickien Kiev, Roast potatoes, carrots and cabbage.
Have Faggots, have Sweet potatoes, have frozen veg, so will cook that and make some gravy to accompany and that will be my lunch this afternoon.
It’s getting cooler so a stew, vegetables and beans
Ginger cake for pudding if my teeth can get through it had a bit of a baking disaster yesterday it’s more like a paving slab but chewy
Soften it by smothering it in custard Julie darlin’
That’s a good idea Uj I’ll give it a try.
A gammon steak with mushrooms, tomatoes, a slice of black pudding and an egg, all dry fried.
Today its Homemade Chicken Curry, Rice and Spring Rolls.
My husband made a nice vegetable and cheese pie last night so I’m having a bit of that.
Btw custard was nice yesterday but failed to crack the ginger cake problem, even the dogs can’t chew it. I think I’ve discovered something we can make unbreakable panels out of if concrete ever becomes rare.
Julie darlin’ they used to give us oatmeal biscuits like that at school, plus a dollop of Semolina - the only reason we had the Semolina was to soften the oatmeal biscuits. I blotted my copybook one day - stuck my fork on top of the biscuit, and hit it hard with the palm of my hand. The biscuit shattered and crumbs went everywhere. One piece skated across the plate, picked up a piece of semolina, hit the edge of the plate and rose in the air, travelled between the two pupils opposite and hit a teacher in the back of the neck. The semolina dropped off the biscuit straight down the teacher’s neck. I was far from popular!!!
Hehehe that made me laugh Uj killer biscuit with a semolina bomb.
Today we are having:
Cajan Chicken Breast, Roast Potatoes, baked onion, brussels and swede.
Left over day today, bit of vegetable pie we had the other day and a bit of the stew in the fridge I will decide when I open the fridge door.
Man from Sainsburys has brought me my shopping this morning, including a Pizza - that will be my lunch!!!
Very nice Uj we are having one at the weekend, but we make it ourselves, husband does the dough and grace and I put on the toppings, we have it to an art form, last time we cooked it in the fire pit the neighbours caravan has, that was very tasty indeed.
Today we are having:
Pork Belly Strips, boiled potatoes, cauliflower cheese and peas.
Removed a pork medalion from freezer earlier this morning. When it defrosts will make a pork casserole.
I’m out for lunch today, school has invited all graces years parents into lunch the kids are making it.
I won’t be able to eat any of it because of my allergies but I’ll have a cup of coffee and an instant cuppa soup.
Today making:
Chicken Curry, Rice and Spring Rolls.
How do I get there Susie darlin’??? - I’ll bring my plate and spoon!!! ;-)
