Not sure when or even if I’ll get lunch today - am off on a demonstration and march (providing I can keep pace with them) later this morning in support of the NHS.
Favorite dinner of roast chicken and veg
Today’s will be the same as yesterday. A gammon steak, with pineapple and roast potatoes, sweet potato and parsnip, and peas and carrots.
If I can be bothered to rustle up a dessert, then that will follow…
Just had tuna sweetcorn with a jacket spud today with yoghurt for dessert. We seem to have gained a few pounds after the excess of our holiday eating last week, so we are on restricted rations for a day or three until we have shifted the spare tyre again…
Holidays are for over eating, Barry! Do not fret. I had my favourite hot doughnuts (4) one day, (but they lasted two days) and flavoured ice cream for two days.
I have harvested my last kohl rabi and a small courgette, and they have been added to today’s menu.
Mash potatoes, lamb grilled with garlic and fresh-picked rosemary and a salad of rocket, radish and home-grown tomato.
I cooked a couple of rib eye steaks and stir fry veg. Swished down with a cheeky Pinot. It was rather tasty even if I do say so.
My supper was reet tasty too! I enjoyed every mouthful.
Chicken breasts marinated in Indian spices and all the trimmings of a roast dinner.
Egg on toast I think I’m knee deep in washing today amazing how much washing has piled up while I was away.
Lasagne today, mince and all the herbs etc are simmering on the stove now, must go and get the pasta and topping sorted.
Chicken korma with boiled rice today, one of our favourite meals yum yum…
Making a vegetable pie today, it’s all prepared just needs to go in the oven.
Cooked a piece of beef in the slow cooker yesterday, now sitting in my fridge - will cut up and put in my cauldron and make a beef stew and suet dumplings.
Got the chicken drums cooking, not sure if will be having tonight.
There’s a delightful smell of stew emanating from my kitchen - its not ready yet, but nonetheless making my mouth water!!!
Pasta with cheese, bacon, onions.
I was gifted some mackerel so having those with jacket spuds and salads. Simple and tasty
