What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 1)

Haggis, 'neeps and (sweet) tatties !!!

Tonight it will be steamed salmon fillets with crispy salad and new potatoes, followed by strawberry truffle

Today I am having an Indian Take-away.

Starter portion of Shamee Kebab with some rice, and dry veg. curry.

Half-shoulder of lamb I defrosted yesterday. Its now sitting wrapped in foil in my oven ready for me to ‘dress’ it properly with Rosemary and Garlic before roasting it.

Pork, Yorkies and Veggies, simple fare.

I do cook from scratch, but often am in too much pain to hover around for long in the kitchen, so that day I’ll have something very simple. Yesterday it was potted shrimps with toast and a little salad with lemon; quick and easy.
Recently online I saw someone saying how good the ‘Charlie Bigham’ ready meals are. So, in Waitrose a few days ago I bought one of his meals for one … lasagne. Had it today, or, more correctly, slung most of it away today.
The most disgusting lasagne I have ever tasted. As for the béchamel sauce … it was a disgrace.
Later today I might have either a jacket potato (easy in the halogen) or a cheese omelette with some greenery on the side… another quick and simple standby.

Same 'ere.

With some of the remains from the lamb joint I ate yesterday, can strip more meat off the bones and make myself a lamb curry.

We are having Chicken Salad today, I’ve got to be good.

Didn’t want lunch.
Dinner, about seven, will be tiny lamb cutlets with tiny Jersey royals and peas. Followed by raspberries and blueberries with cream.

Chicken, Yorkies, and Veggies, tiny deviation from yesterday.

Hospital appointment in the early afternoon prevented me from doing my lamb curry yesterday, so its merely postponed 24 hours ands will make it today.

Today it will be:

Roast Pork, R. Potatoes, Dark Green, Carrots and Gravy.

Today were having Tagliatelle with Chicken…

And Mixed fruit and Ice Cream for afters…

Halloumi wrapped in aubergine slices and cooked in a tomato sauce with new potatoes.

Today it’s Chicken Curry and Rice.

Making a flat bread with garlic and cheese and doing a vegetable stew with it

Making panna cotta for pud.

The same here too, I make a nice mild korma because we love the taste of curry but dislike the heat of chillies.

Inthe words of Mavis. " I dont really know" I get days like these and sometimes just have a sandwich.

I’m hoping to follow the BRAT diet for a few more days.

Banana
Rice
Applesauce
Toast

Had toast this morning, and 1 slice last night. I’ve just cooked an apple, and put some cinnamon in, and will later cook some rice with peas.

I have 1 banana left (bought 2 on Sunday), and maybe later might make a potato and leek soup, using up the vegetables.

Waiting in for a delivery so can’t yet go to the supermarket for more bits, but I suppose I have enough indoors for my still to be settled stomach and guts.
