I went for drops with little sweet balls on them this time as I eat them too quickly otherwise

Kingway buttons are lovely …

Thanks for the info MJK

Today we are having the rest of the Duck for lunch.

Tonight maybe Jacket Potato.

A roast dinner with my chicken.

Roast beef with roast spuds carrots/peas yorkshire pudding and gravy

Snap Aysa darlin’ although instead of peas am also roasting some parsnips to accompany the carrots.

Cant beat it UJ can you?:023:

Absolutely not Aysa darlin’ - and what gets left over will go into a beef stew and dumplings tomorrow.

My leftovers will be minced in one of those old fashioned cast iron meat mincers and made into shepherds pies  yummmmmeeeee for tomorow

Whilst cooking the mince Aysa darlin’ - add a couple of dessert spoons of Port (if you have any) - adds a certain zest to the meal.

I’ve got my roasties in early, so save time later.

Potato, sweet potato, parsnip, kohl rabi and turnip. Think there’ll be some left over for tomorrow.

Which reminds me, better parcel up some chicken to freeze.

Sounds lovely Jazzi.

Yes. I pre cooked the roasties for about 50 minutes. Good job as my bezzie mate and his missus wanted to pop in and they’ve just gone. It means that had I not done all the preparation earlier my dinner could have been late. Now all I have to do is put them back in for about 30 minutes, cooking the sausages and stuffing, and other vegetables, and Bob’s your uncle.

Made a black cherry jelly for dessert, and have some reduced price brandy cream to go with.

Absolute yum. Might even have a tiny drop of wine.

Home made pizzas today, Steven did the bases and we all topped them with what we wanted. Grace experimented not sure the smarties nod tuna were such a good idea but she was determined to prove it was yummy

Homemade meat and potato pie, leftovers, followed by peaches, jelly and cream, strange combination but lovely…

Today its Fry-up Day without the fried bread.

Shall look in my freezer and see what my next Wiltshire Farm Foods packet has in store for me

Will chop up remains of beef joint, peel and chop: carrots, parsnips, swede & celeriac, make 2 quarts of gravy and place whole lot in my cauldron and heat. Will also make a quantity of suet dumplings to add to the stew too, together with pearl barley and some curry spice to make a warm (spicy) comfort food.

Hake, salad and a seedy brown roll, boiled egg for me.

Nice to see you back in the land of living UJ, has your friend gone home now?
