What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 1)

Chicken curry and rice today.

Lunch was Balmoral bread with turkey and salad.

Dinner was home made bolognaise sauce with pasta and crusty bread. A wee bit of chilli put in the sauce :-p

No chicken?! My OH has just slung my soup all over the kitchen floor, wall and cupboards  so I had sandwich and apple crumble to follow…

Yes tonight we have

Tonight in the new “Hairy Bikers Ceramic Health Grill” we cooked Chicken Breast Steaks, Peppers and Mushrooms and with that we had Turnip,Carrots,Green Beans, Peas and baby boiled Potatoes and Gravy… mmmm

I can’t remember the last time I had Turnip, I love them, my OH doesn’t though.

Today we are having Braising Steak (3 hrs cooking time), boiled potatoes, swede and peas.

Turkey salad sandwiches on Balmoral bread for lunch.

Leftover bolognaise for dinner.

Excuse my ignorance Myra, but what is Balmoral bread?

I’ve just had boiled egg and toast for brunch.

Dinner will be a chicken salad, although I’m in the mood for a fish supper after reading the fish thread

Just had a fry-up.

Mups it’s like a brown wholemeal loaf from the Queen’s bakery in Ballater :-D. When the Queen is in Balmoral the food all comes locally from selected shops in Ballater. The shops all display crests.

Oh, thanks Myra.

A beer and a packet of crisps at the pub for lunch.

Steak, caesar salad and baked potato for dinner.

We have just had Steak & Kidney Pudding, boiled potatoes, fine beans & carrots.

Susie, your meals always sound mouth watering :-p

Hi Myra,

I don’t know why, because I only cook day to day normal dinners, I do like cooking and being at home all day, I suppose I have the time to do these things. I love cooking Curries.

Where do you live Myra? Sue x

Today we are having an Indian take-away for Easter with the M.I.L.

I will be having Chicken Tikka, Rice, dry veg. curry and a garlic Nan.

The shops seem to be full of special offers on lamb, so I bought a few joints for the freezer. Yesterday I made a lamb rogan josh (marinated the lamb overnight) and a Tarka dhal.

Today it’s roast goose. I hust prepare a few jars to preserve the fat.

We have just had, Pork Medallions, Roast Potatoes, Y. Pudding, Swede, Brussels and Gravy.

I live near Glasgow, Susie.

You have a great variation in your meals. Sometimes I get fed up thinking what I’m going to have!

I had brunch today, which was simple - toast with laughing cow cheese and a cuppa.

Dinner will be steak, which I got for half price in Sainsbury earlier, with caeser salad and a baked potato.
