What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 1)

Today’s lunch will be my lentil and potato soup with a pumpkin seed roll.

Dinner will be fish pie with vegetables.

Fry-up today.

We are having a roast dinner today with Hunters Chicken.

A Chicken Salad were on a diet

For lunch I had my home made soup, then some yogurt.

Dinner was at the pub which was a chicken and bacon salad. Very nice it was too.

Sainsbury’s smoked haddock, cheese and leek fishcakes

May I add a family-owned dessert which my family have enjoyed for many generations?.

INGREDIENTS


Packet of trifle sponges.

Jelly, (whichever suits your taste).

Tin of whichever fruit you prefer.

Custard powder.

Large carton of whipping cream, or canister of spray-cream. (As an alternative, Angel Delight can be used).

Chocolate vermicelli for topping, (crumbled Cadbury’s Flake will be fine).

Large bottle of Rum.

                                                     METHOD

                                                  ------------------
  1. Take a 3-pint bowl, break the sponges into small pieces, and place in the bottom, and cover with sufficient Rum to soak until soft. (Why not pour yourself a glass at this stage, too?).

  2. Take a heat-proof bowl and add jelly pieces…pour on 1/4 pint of boiling water, stir until jelly is melted, and leave to cool, (in the meantime, why not top-up your glass?).

  3. When the jelly has melted, top up wiv 1/2 a pint of cold waterr, and pour carefully over the shponges. (Top up yer glash).

  4. Open a can of fruit and shtrain off the juice and place frute carefully in the jelly, (Top up glash), and place the fridge in the bowl.

  5. While the jelly sets, ya gotta make the cushtard, (hic), so make up a pint of thick cushtard, according to the instrumaluctions on the pakkit, (hic), an’ leave it to cool.

  6. While yer waitin’ for the clusterd to coool, why not pouur yerself anothher glash, eh?.

  7. Once the cool has custered, get the bowl out from wherever you shoved it, and pour evenly, (hic), over the Turkey, and bung it back in the oven to set.

  8. glash yer Top up.

  9. Meanwhile, (hic), whip the creeem, (into a frenzy, hee hee hee), and spead thickly over the Brushel Shprouts, adding shalt an’ shuggar as you want. (Oh!, (hic), an’ chuck shome shugger in the custred as well).

  10. Glop yer tash up.

  11. crush yer Flakes up, an ‘ave a drink while yerz dooin’ it.

  12. shprinkle all that stuff where ya want to, but maake shure shome goes on the creeem. 'Ave a drimk.

  13. Av anovver drimk. (hic).

  14. Serve it tu whoevver wantsh shum.

  15. pooor yershelff anovvver drimk, (hic), yoo erned itt!.

Today I had a turkey and ham salad for lunch. Then yogurt with strawberries.

Dinner was smoked haddock and prawn fish pie, with salad. Also a slice of sunflower seeded bread which was delicious. I’m a bread addict!

We had for dinner tonight…

Salmon with coriander, sliced green peppers and tomatoes on a bed of rice and sweetcorn topped with a flavoured spicy sauce?

My hubby made it, and it was lovely.x

Today we are having Chicken Kiev, cheese & onion potato bake and cauliflower cheese.

just had a lovely dinner of potatoes, salmon and Mediterranean veggies, very tasty!

Boiled eggs and sunflower seed bread for brunch.

Fish and chips, home cooked, for dinner. Beetroot as an accompinament with fish and chips for me.

Today its Sausage Stew cooking at the moment ready for lunchtime.

Indian take-away today for Mothers Day.

Today we are having Braising Steak, Pots. Brussels and Carrots.

Am feeling ‘fishy’ today, so there is quite a choice in freezer; smoked cod loin, a couple of whole plaice, some whole mackerel, a couple of sea bream, some plain cod loin not to mention various commercial offerings. Just have to decide which and with what. Hmm

Just in from shopping. Had a sausage sandwich for lunch.
Chicken and Spinach lasagne for dinner tonight.

Ham salad with baked potato for lunch.

Burger with salad and oven chips for dinner.
