Watching 80s music in particular TOTP

I saw curiosity Killed the Cat at a fabulous 80s revival concert. Someone had some free tickets and we were very close to the front row. I have to say that sadly this was the only act that did not carry over into the noughties as he just looked very uncomfortable on stage doing 80s moves.

The other acts were fabulous though, some surprisingly so (Nick Heyward was fantastic with what I think was a Ukelele! Who would have thought it!). The one thing you notice is that most of the lead singers are so tall and imposing. Heaven 17 particularly so.

Ah that is a nice one Logan. Very chilled. Such a beautiful voice but what a tragic life.

That is a true classic. I didn’t realise they were on TOTP, but I was probably watching knotts landing in the evenings that year or doing my homework! I didn’t start getting into TOTP until 1982.

Was more of a Dallas fan :cowboy_hat_face:

Oh me too, so much so that I watched the awful Knotts Landing haha  Did you have an “I shot JR” t shirt too?

I also recall that in 1980 Hawaiian shirts were all the rage for both men and women and very short shorts for both sexes (hotpants?)

No T shirt I’m afraid.,had the Hawaiian shirt though.
Never got into Knots Landing, for me Dallas was the best, they did a sort of remake, in 2012,not a patch on the original,
