War films question

Why in every war film doesn’t the cameraman get shot? He or she can survive all the shootings and bombings without a scratch.

Ever notice how there’s never a “No cameramen were harmed during the making of this film.” disclaimer in the end?

You don’t know that ,they may go though dozens of them.

It’s because it’s a film, not a real war, obviously!!

You’ve just got to bring reality into everything. :grinning:

The cameraman is using a really long lens and is in reality miles away,

Have you never watched Drop the Dead Donkey then?

The camera person gets shot whilst filming in a war-zone in one episode of that.

Was that a real was zone?

In saving private Ryan Spielberg wanted camera shake so the audience had some feel as to running up that beach, it added to the realism and made it the greatest ever war film….

It was a comedy TV series.

Obviously because they’re well trained, silly!
