Hello everyone, I’m Terry 80 yr. old from Heptonstall Yorkshire. I thought I’d come along and say hello.

I enjoy making things, model-making and writing down bits of my life. I’m also learning about 3D printing—there’s always something else to get my head around!

Mostly, I’d like to get to know a few people and have an ordinary chat. I have a sense of humour and enjoy hearing other people’s stories.

How’s everyone spending their Sunday?

HI and welcome. Bruce from Australia is into 3d printing so you have a common interest already
Swimfeeder is also into fish but a bit poorly at the moment so maybe also someone you might like to chat chat to

Hello and welcome to Over 50’s Chat Terry, I’m sure you will enjoy the site

Hi and welcome Mr Terrence the model maker! I’m the Grumpy Old Scotsman so yes, you will will fit in admirably well! I made things too - power electronics but just on a different scale.

hi Grumps, welcome, matron tucks us up in bed every night

Welcome to the forum Grumpy, model making sounds very interesting and would sit nicely with my passion of building small electronic projects.
Good luck with the 3D printing, although it falls well outside of my area of expertise, I’m more of a electro mechanical man having been a mechanical engineer most of my working life.

Welcome Grumpy, I’m Grumpy too, but don’t think we are on the same wavelength. I have been grumpy so long, meeting another grumpy would not resolve anything

Once you’ve reached the 7th stage of grumpiness there’s no going back

It’s Ok, being alone with one’s grumpiness.

yes.if it makes you happy

One can be content, without being happy, probably.

Hey @Grumpy looks like we are about the same age. if you do a bit of a search in this forum on 3D Print or Printer you should find previous threads on the subject to get you started.

Do you design your own stuff or download designs from places like Thingiverse?

Anyway welcome to the forum.
