yes they do and it really drives me potty listening to AI reading a script in monotone and then jar the listener on a word that is out of context. The AI can even make the human lips move in a deepfake way to make it look as though they are pronouncing English words. I follow a Russian vlogger who has taken followers through the journey of how they set this up etc.
In terms of the video content it’s all very subjective and biased. I don’t believe the US is anywhere near being on its knees financially. I do however believe the world economy will be brought to its knees by AI. It’s already affecting jobs on a wide scale and very swiftly. The tech uses vast amounts of power. While it has some positive uses it’s generally a very bad thing for humanity to unleash it like this. This isn’t the same as the industrial revolution, this is a very destructive force. Particularly if we design a world where AI starts making the decisions. (which by the way is already happening on a small scale)
Their debt is rising and Trump has cut taxation and is spending a fortune using his armed forces all over the World.
The USA used to be the World Leader in Free Trade, Trump has slapped Tariffs on all and sundry and new alliances are being formed all over the World which exclude the USA.
The US$ used the be the reserve currency, the one used for the vast majority of world trade, now others are moving away from it and using other currencies.
His previous long term allies and trading partners are turning away from the USA and doing deals with China, reducing the demand for dollars.
He is forcing NATO to vastly increase it’s own defence spending, previously the biggest beneficiary was US arms mamufacturers.
No longer the case, he is so unreliable that they are not buying American, worried about him cutting off the essential spares.
Nato and others are buying weapons from Europe now.
I’m more optimistic that the US economy will bounce back. It’s a large and highly productive country. Given his age, Trump can’t be leader forever and I can’t see any of his team having the same appeal to voters.
I don’t think the video suggested it was on its last legs it merely suggested that it was on a very slippery slope. If the other examples were anything to go by it could take another century.
Look at the difference between the Britain of 1900 and now, the poor are much better off but the country overall doesn’t have the wealth, influence or power it had a century and a quarter ago.
